Pursuing its strategy to become one of the 10 best Global Business Universities in Europe, emlyon business school announces becoming a shareholder of the London Interdisciplinary School (LIS).
Groupama and emlyon business school have been working hand in hand since 2010 to develop tailor-made training programs that make a real impact on the insurance group and its employees. The partnership began with the development of a flagship training program focused on leadership – the Formation Supérieure des Managers (FSM), or Advanced Manager Training.
The School is launching a new Institute led by David Courpasson, Professor of Sociology at emlyon. The Ethnographic Institute, composed of a dozen faculty members, will be a forum for reflection on the social transformations of the world. It will be based on three pillars, namely research, education and public debate.
This year's Careers Forum, an essential recruitment event at emlyon, took place on January 8, 9, 10, 2024, on the Lyon-Écully campus, followed by an online day on January 11 on the Talentspace platform. Nearly 160 companies actively engaged in the forum, extending diverse opportunities to students across various sectors like agri-food, energy, transportation, consulting, construction, luxury, and cosmetics. These recruiters aimed to connect with their future talents among the many students present.
emlyon business school has been a “Société à mission” since July 2021 and has now revealed the composition of its steering committee, as approved by the Supervisory Board on 8 February. The role of its members is to ensure the School fulfills its mission, as well as actively making proposals to help achieve its goals.
On July 07th 2021, emlyon business school and the École normale supérieure de Lyon (ENS de Lyon) signed off a Memorandum of Understanding aiming at undertaking common actions serving their respective student populations.

emlyon business school and Carbone 4, a consulting firm specialized in decarbonization and adaptation to climate change, are launching the “Anthropocene Strategy ” chair conducted by Thomas Gauthier. The creation of this chair is a confirmation of the strong commitment of the two organizations, to the development of unique and competitive methodological approaches, which shall equip business leaders and directors to become the prime contractors of transition.
