Module

Luxury Branding 

  • Dates: January 12–16, 2026

  • Workload: 28h of contact hours including a company visit + 10-15 hours of online autonomous work

This program examines the latest trends shaping the branding landscape, with a specific focus on the European market. Students will analyze how brands are created, developed, and strategically managed in response to evolving consumer expectations and market dynamics. Particular attention is given to building a strong and distinctive brand identity that resonates across diverse cultural, regional, and industry-specific contexts within Europe and beyond. By engaging with case studies, interactive discussions, and practical workshops, participants will gain the skills to design compelling value propositions, position brands strategically, and foster deeper customer engagement. The course also explores pressing challenges in European branding, including sustainability, inclusivity, digital transformation, and the impact of emerging technologies, equipping students to address the demands of a rapidly changing business environment. We recommend early applications for more chances to enroll in the program and housing. Application may be considered after this date if places are still available. Applications are considered on a rolling basis.

Late applications can be accepted according to places available, time available to enroll, and visa process, with a minimum of 1 month for visa process when needed

Student life

I chose the summer program at emlyon because it was an incredible opportunity to study abroad in one of the highest ranked business schools in Europe. The course on Luxury Branding was fascinating, and our professor was phenomenal, she really knew the depth of the material. I met people from Sweden, Norway, South Korea, China... learning from people from around the world was one of the biggest experiences I had. And Lyon gave me a little bit of everything: great food, a beautiful historical city, and even weekend trips to Grenoble and Annecy. I was only there for two weeks and I should have stayed much longer. Since coming back to Canada, I've told everyone in my cohort, three of them have already applied to emlyon. I speak highly of it because I truly had a phenomenal time.

Since the Renaissance, the banks of the two rivers, the Rhône and the Saône, that flow through the city, the Fourvière basilica that dominates the city centre, and the Old Lyon, are sights that make Lyon an extremely pleasant place to live in.

Therefore, coming to Lyon – France also means discovering its cultural heritage, participating in exciting and original activities and enjoying the French cuisine!

We are convinced that companies and school must work hand in hand to face major economic and societal disruptions and together provide new answers to the world’s challenges.
Thanks to our large network of corporate partners, company visits are also planned.
These visits, designed to provide participants with a first hand look at “real world” business contexts in France are fully integrated into the Winter School’ program.

It is not easy to find accommodation, especially in large French cities, so make sure to start your search as soon as possible.

When 100% of the French students I met at my university singled out emlyon as their top choice, it was a no-brainer. The summer courses were intense in the best way, all the knowledge condensed in two weeks, with professors who were deeply passionate about their subjects. The company visits were a real highlight, especially discovering Lyon's silk industry: I came in with zero knowledge and left knowing exactly which machines were used back in the Renaissance period. The international mix of students was amazing, and the icebreaker on day one meant you made a friend within the first hour. Lyon is an absolutely beautiful city to explore. The summer school experience at emlyon is not defined by the grade you get, but by what you learn and the memories you make. I would wholeheartedly recommend it, you won't regret it.
