Presentation

As an intrapreneur, you contribute to innovation in your organisation by launching new products and services, transforming your processes and business models, or creating a favourable context for taking initiatives.

Most business leaders agree that innovation is a priority for business growth, but only 6% are satisfied with their innovation performance. Within organisations, there are many opportunities for innovation using existing business resources, such as capabilities, assets, networks and ecosystems, which are wasted because they are not identified or properly exploited. This Makers Bridge aims to harness these company resources to create strategic growth and new sources of value for the company.

This certificate provides an overview of corporate innovation, how companies build strong innovation portfolios and processes, and how these are shaped and leveraged by decision-making processes. We will look at the innovation life cycle, how to introduce innovation into a business model.
During the course, you will play a business simulation in which you will have to set up an innovation management system. You will also have the opportunity to listen to testimonials from innovation managers in companies and from experienced entrepreneurs.
Note that the content of this course is closely linked to the ISO56000 standards, which seek to formalise innovation management, enabling companies to generate and implement innovations more effectively.

A second part of the course looks at the conundrum of the inability of incumbent leaders to take advantage of disruptions in their environment, thereby ceding leadership to new entrants. We will examine the ‘innovator's dilemma’, whereby companies lose out whether they embrace or ignore disruption. We will untangle this dilemma by highlighting the importance of the incumbent's identity and business model as the source of the dilemma. We will then present some possible solutions that large companies have used to avoid the dilemma, including how to foster the entrepreneurial skills of effectuation.

These modules will enhance your knowledge and skills for implementing intrapreneurial and innovation projects.
1. Intrapreneur toolbox (3 days)
2. Creating a favourable context for intrapreneurship (2 days)
3. Business incubators (1 day)

What interpersonal skills do you need to surround yourself with a committed team?
How do you inspire others, promote change and stimulate your teams while respecting values and achieving sustainable results?
How can you identify different situations of change, behave as a leader and transform difficulties into opportunities?

You choose an innovation project to put into practice what you learn in this certificate. For example: launch of a new product or service, change of business model, etc.
You will receive individual support on agile methods, leadership development and stakeholder management throughout the certificate.
