Our programs
Education
The need for education in corporate governance has never been greater. Practices can only improve if all stakeholders—from management students to experienced board members—are made aware of contemporary challenges and innovative approaches.
Initial Education
IFGE supports students in the Bachelor and Master in Management programs in understanding the challenges of corporate governance. This support is provided through core courses and electives delivered in both English and French. Our courses are designed and taught by leading experts drawing on advanced, cutting-edge knowledge.
Executive Education
IFGE contributes to all executive programs at emlyon business school, helping participants analyze governance situations and prepare to take on the highest levels of responsibility.
This commitment has led to the creation of the “Objectif conseil d’administration” certificate, developed in partnership with HerValue. Since its launch, this certificate has established itself as a benchmark in France.
Custom Programs
IFGE is regularly approached by companies and executives seeking high-quality educational content tailored to their specific contexts.
Seminars and sessions designed with and for organizations are developed in collaboration with our faculty and researchers.
PhD
Since its creation in 2003, IFGE has supported 20 PhD dissertations directly related to corporate governance.
Over the years, IFGE has established itself in France and across Europe as a leading research center on corporate governance issues, regularly launching innovative research initiatives and projects.
IFGE offers research-oriented Master’s graduates the opportunity to undertake a doctoral research project under the supervision of a professor accredited to supervise doctoral research.
IFGE doctoral candidates develop strong research skills, which they showcase through regular presentations at major international conferences such as the Academy of Management (AOM), EGOS, EURAM, and AIMS.
Doctoral research at IFGE is distinguished by its strong historical perspective, its focus on the major developments in corporate governance, and its integration of a political dimension concerning the role of business in society.
Doctoral training is delivered through seminars, either in English within the emlyon business school Doctoral Programme or in French through the doctoral programme conducted in partnership with Jean Moulin Lyon 3 University.
This training prepares students for high-level academic research by connecting contemporary corporate governance issues with core management disciplines, including strategy, organization studies, finance, and accounting/auditing.
