FNEGE Best Management Book Award

Emmanuelle Dubocage's book, Decarbonized Finance for a Sustainable Economy, received the FNEGE Best Book Award in the CSR category.

Published by EMS and FNEGE, this collective work was co-authored with Pascal Barneto, Carine Girard-Guerraud, Yves Rannou and Vanessa Serret.

The book proposes integrating carbon data into the various dimensions of finance, including investment and financing policies, banking, private equity, financial markets, ESG analysis, financial diagnostics, cost of capital, firm valuation, governance, institutions and regulation.

This award represents an important recognition of work driven by a shared conviction: the ecological transition cannot be achieved without a profound transformation of financial tools, models and practices.

Research Meeting #14

In the face of planetary boundary overshoot, the new climate reality and ongoing geopolitical upheavals, how can the management research community position itself?

To explore this question, we are delighted to welcome Natalie Slawinski (University of Victoria) and Amanda Williams (emlyon business school) for our next Research Meeting.

Rather than opposing engaged research to neutrality, objectivity and rigor, they seek to reconcile these tensions by identifying pathways that enable researchers to conduct rigorous and engaged research.

The event will take place on June 5, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., both in person and online.

Cash Machines #2: 25 Years of Share Buybacks by SBF 120 Companies

IFGE has published an original study on share buybacks carried out by French companies.

This report highlights the long-term trends in share buyback practices and sheds light on the amounts devoted to them. Between 1999 and 2024, major French companies spent €335 billion repurchasing their own shares.

This is a considerable amount, but it should be considered in comparison with practices across Europe and the United States.

The study includes a wide range of figures and statistics that provide an original and well-documented perspective on share buybacks.
