Our educational vision in practice
At MTCI, our expertise spans the full spectrum of modern marketing decision-making, from quantitative analytics to digital strategy, branding, and value creation. Across our course offerings, we combine rigorous methodological training with practical, data-driven tools that prepare students to tackle the real challenges faced by marketing researchers, consultants, and managers today. Below is an overview of our core areas of teaching and applied expertise.
Some examples of the courses we offer include:
Marketing analytics
We offer a sequence of Marketing Analytics courses that equips students with the quantitative tools required for a systematic and analytical approach to marketing decision-making. The techniques we see during the courses allow them to solve some essential analytic challenges faced by marketing researchers, consultants, and managers. These challenges generally revolve around four fundamental marketing problems: all customers are different, all customers change, all competitors react, and all resources are limited. The courses’ analytical approach enables students to understand how today’s data and analytics opportunities can help managers deploy and improve their marketing strategy and use and execute data analytics techniques and case studies to understand how to solve marketing analytics problems in a scientific and process-driven manner. By completing these courses, students are able to make the ROI case for marketing expenditures that companies increasingly ask of their executives.
Digital marketing
We provide Digital Marketing courses designed for students who aspire to enhance their understanding of the rapidly evolving landscape of digital marketing. These courses equip students with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to navigate the digital realm and leverage its vast potential for business growth. Throughout theses course, students gain an understanding of the latest digital marketing concepts, strategies, and tools and how they can be effectively employed to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue generation. By examining real-world case studies and engaging in hands-on projects, students develop the critical thinking and problem-solving skills necessary to design and execute successful digital marketing campaigns.
Branding Strategy
We deliver Brand Management courses that address important branding decisions faced by organizations. The basic objectives are: to increase understanding of the important issues in planning and evaluating brand and product strategies, to provide the appropriate theories, models, and other tools to make better branding and product decisions, and to provide a forum for students to apply these principles. In these courses, we place emphasis on understanding the psychological principles, at the customer level, that improve managerial decision-making with respect to brands and products.
Search Engine Marketing and Analytics
We contribute with courses in search engine marketing and analytics that provide students with the tools and strategic insights necessary for effective decision-making in Search Engine Marketing (SEM). As search engine advertising accounts for approximately 45% of digital ad spend and drives nearly 1 in 5 website visits, SEM has become a critical component of any marketing strategy. However, it is also a highly competitive field. In these courses, students learn how to design and implement SEM strategies that align with business objectives. In parallel, the courses emphasize the use of analytics platforms to monitor, optimize, and enhance the effectiveness of these strategies. By integrating data from website visitors and third-party platforms, such as advertising platforms, students will develop the skills to analyze and interpret data, enabling them to make informed, data-driven decisions to improve SEM performance. Upon completion, students are equipped to leverage analytics in optimizing SEM efforts and justify marketing expenditures with clear, measurable results.
Marketing for Value Creation
In these courses we explore how marketing creates value in the digital age by diving deep into the modern consumer's psychology. Students examine how digital technologies, social media, and automation have revolutionized brand-consumer interactions and shaped consumer behavior. Key topics include understanding the psychological drivers behind consumer decisions, the role of social value in marketing, consumer interactions with technology and AI, and navigating omnichannel communication landscapes. The courses investigate critical contemporary issues such as consumer resistance to automation and AI in various contexts, from autonomous vehicles to medical AI. Through a blend of theory and hands-on practice using a simulation game, students learn to develop marketing strategies that effectively create value for both consumers and society while addressing the complexities of digital transformation and evolving consumer expectations.
