Paris Energy Week 2026 : shaping the future of electrification
From 24 to 27 November 2026, the Paris Energy Week will bring together leading voices from academia, industry, public institutions and civil society to explore one of the defining challenges of the energy transition: electrification. Co-organised by emlyon business school alongside renowned academic and research institutions, the event will serve as a platform for dialogue on the technologies, policies and investments needed to build a more resilient, competitive and low-carbon energy future.
Understanding the challenges of electrification
As countries accelerate their decarbonisation efforts and seek greater energy security, electrification is becoming a cornerstone of the transition. Yet scaling electrification raises complex questions around infrastructure, financing, industrial competitiveness, energy resilience and social acceptance.
Throughout four days of discussions, participants will examine key issues shaping Europe’s energy future, including climate technology financing, electricity infrastructure resilience, industrial and household electrification, energy geopolitics and the future of power systems. The programme will also feature the launch of the latest World Energy Outlook, offering valuable insights into global energy trends and scenarios.
emlyon at the heart of the conversation
As a co-organiser of the event, emlyon business school plays a central role in fostering dialogue between academia, business leaders and policymakers. Several sessions will take place on the School’s Paris campus, including discussions on Europe’s opportunities in the age of electrification and the financing of climate technologies at industrial scale.
This commitment reflects emlyon’s broader ambition to contribute to the major economic, technological and environmental transitions shaping our world. By bringing together diverse perspectives and expertise, the School helps create the conditions for informed decision-making and meaningful action.
A natural extension of the MSc in Management of Energy Transitions
The themes explored during the Paris Energy Week are closely aligned with the objectives of emlyon’s MSc in Management of Energy Transitions. Based in Paris and taught in English, the programme equips future professionals with the technical, strategic and managerial skills needed to drive the energy transition in an international context.
Combining expertise in energy systems, climate finance, geopolitics, project management and sustainable business practices, the programme prepares students to navigate the complexity of today’s energy landscape and lead transformative projects across sectors and geographies.
For students, the Paris Energy Week offers a unique opportunity to engage directly with industry experts, policymakers and researchers, gain insights into emerging challenges, and expand their professional network within the global energy ecosystem.
