Using art a lever for raising awareness of the challenges of SDG 3
emlyon business school is putting art at the service of raising awareness around health and well-being issues through the creation of a new exhibition. Guided by the School’s annual academic theme and aligned with its CSR commitment, this artistic initiative invites visitors to explore global health challenges and reflect on the central role of health in building a sustainable future.
Promoting health and well-being through the eyes of photographers
As part of its approach to cultural openness and awareness through art, emlyon business school presents a new photographic exhibition dedicated to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG 3): “Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages“. Entitled "GOOD HEALTH AND WELL-BEING", the exhibition is open on the Lyon campus until March 2026, then will be presented on the Paris campus until July 2026. Launched in 2024 with a first exhibition dedicated to SDG 11, this new edition forms part of emlyon’s 2025-2026 academic theme and extends the School’s ambition to make CSR issues a cornerstone of its overall strategy and activities.
Through twelve artistic perspectives from all over the world, from Ethiopia to the United States, Belgium, Cambodia and Nigeria, the exhibition explores the diversity of challenges related to health and well-being. Each photographer offers a unique interpretation of the key themes of SDG 3:
- Colin Delfosse: Reducing maternal and infant mortality
- Romain Etienne: Fighting epidemics and communicable diseases
- Lionel Jusseret: Promoting mental health and well-being
- Denis Meyer: Preventing and treating substance abuse
- Aida Muluneh: Ending neglected Tropical Diseases
- Gregg Segal: Ensuring access to balanced nd high-quality nutrition
- Gregg Segal: Encouraging sport for health and wellness
- Alice Wietzel: Ensuring access to sexual health services and family planning
In line with its strategic plan and its ambition to resonate with society, emlyon, through its status as a higher education institution, positions itself as a central player bringing together organizations from diverse bakcgrounds at the crossroads of scientific, economic and social conversations. This new edition also features collaborations with several partners—companies, NGOs and cultural institutions—addressing the themes of health and well-being through a series of artistic and educational installations:

- Musée des Confluences: Healing differently: the practice of shamanic medicine
- Dr. Mérieux Museum of Biological Sciences: Developing vaccination and fighting infectious diseases
- Sanofi: Supporting research and universal access to medicines
Finally, to extend the reflection, the School’s library offers a curated selection of resources—books, magazines, scientific publications and podcasts—exploring the topics addressed in the exhibition: child health, prevention, addictions, mental health and infectious diseases.
Through this hybrid approach between art, science and society, emlyon invites visitors to engage with global health challenges and to reflect on the role of health in everyday life as a cornerstone of a sustainable future. By combining pedagogy, research and artistic creation, this photo exhibition builds a vital link between academic knowledge and civic engagement.
Healthcare, a strategic priority for emlyon
Beyond its artistic and educational dimension, the exhibition illustrates the strategic place that the health vertical within emlyon business school’s overall project. Through its territorial roots at the heart of the Lyon ecosystem, the School is at the crossroads of scientific, industrial and economic dynamics, mobilizing international organizations, research and innovation entities, training institutes, major industrial players and biotechnology companies, to shape the transformations of the health sector.
