The emlyon alumni network is transforming to amplify its impact
The emlyon business school alumni network has recently undergone a series of major changes: the election of a part of its board, the appointment of a new President, the development of the "Advancement & Alumni Relations" department within the School with two new directors at its head, but also the publication of the 5th of Le Fil magazine and the 2024 class graduation ceremony... Here is an overview of these developments and a look at a future-focused alumni network.
A new board and the appointment of a new President for emlyon alumni

Following a vote involving the School's alumni, 10 new members of the board of directors were elected, marking new momentum for the emlyon alumni association. The 16 elected members, reflects the diversity of the School's graduate profiles, both in terms of academic backgrounds and professional journeys. It is also composed by the honorary presence of Isabelle Huault (PGE90), Dean and Executive President of emlyon business school, ensuring a strong relationship with the School, in line with the “Openness and exchanges” strategic pillar of its Resonances plan.
The board of directors elected a new executive committee and appointed its President, Vincent Leroux (MBA04), board member since 2023, who succeeds Valérie Milone (PGE96) after several years of dedicate service to the alumni community.
Executive Vice President of GMM Pfaudler International, Vincent Leroux is a mechanical engineer by training and businessman by passion. He decided step up his career by joining the International MBA at emlyon business school in 2003. A key player in the network for the past fifteen years as co-founder, former president and treasurer of the emlyon Business Angels Club, he has largely contributed to promoting the network's entrepreneurial spirit.
To all graduates, you have a role to play. Everyone can, at their own level, can help to strengthen emlyon's influence and keep alive the spirit of solidarity that defines our community. Together, let's grow our network and strengthen our pride in being part of emlyon!
An expanded Advancement & Alumni Relations department, inspired by the best international models
With the ambition of increasing the alumni network’s impact and its strategic role in the development of the School, a new "Advancement & Alumni Relations" department has been created. This organization, rare among French grandes écoles, brings together all activities related to graduates along the emlyon Foundation.
Led by Lucie Constant, who is also the Foundation's General Delegate, this department is inspired by international models implementing a comprehensive, cross-functional approach aimed at: strengthening the School’s financial resources, expanding its network of influence, and coordinating alumni engagement initiatives more effectively.

Through the emlyon Foundation, which I have been leading since 2022, we have been able to mobilize a growing number of qualified decision-makers, successfully relaunch fundraising and activate intergenerational engagement levers. Today, we are implementing an integrated and more ambitious strategy for alumni relations, ne that’s central to our institutional project.
To manage and lead relations with alumni more specifically, Lucy Bonnetier (PGE10) has been appointed Director of Alumni Relations. With a bakcground in marketing and communications for international brands, she wants to give a new energy to the "Alumni Office".
Alumni have a strategic role in the School's future. The new dynamic carried out by this department will make it possible to offer more valuable services, to boost alumni engagement, and to build lasting synergies between advancement and alumni.
A global network that unites graduates and learners from from day one and for life!

The emlyon alumni network now brings together more than 48,000 graduates in 130 countries, a unique, cross-border, cross-generational, cross-sector community.
Structured around more than 50 communities (geographic, thematic, promotion and company), led by 200 volunteer ambassadors, the network organizes more than 200 events each year, in person or online, worlwide.
Alumni have access to a digital platform that includes an interactive directory, an event calendar, career resources, community groups, a mentoring module, etc. and a dedicated magazine, Le Fil...
Among the many events organized each year, the unmissable event called "emlyon alumni connect", launched for the first time for the Lyon campus Celebrations in 2024, is planned again on November 29 in Lyon, followed by a week of events around the world. The second edition of this event open to all graduates – all classes and programs – will be a new opportunity to meet, share and exchange around workshops and thematic conferences.
