The two Challenges 2026 rankings once again highlight the academic excellence of emlyon business school’s flagship programs: the Master in Management - Grande École (MiM) maintains its 4th place, while the Global BBA makes significant progress by reaching 2nd place. 

emlyon’s MiM recognized for its unique pedagogical model and strong societal commitment 

In the Challenges 2026 ranking of business schools, the Master in Management - Grande École confirms its position among the top French business schools by ranking 4th. This distinction highlights emlyon’s efforts to strengthen the continuum between preparatory classes and its unique teaching model. Preparatory classes and Grandes Écoles share the same educational approach, offering a very high-level education highly valued by companies and organizations in France and internationally. 

Divided into three rankings, Challenges places emlyon as follows: 

  • CSR: 1st position for the second consecutive year 

  • Power: 5th position 

  • International: 5th position 

Methodology 

Challenges evaluates 21 French institutions through three rankings: the school’s power, its international positioning, and its social responsibility (CSR). These criteria reflect the ability of schools to combine academic excellence, global reach, and societal commitment. 

Remarkable progress for emlyon’s Global BBA in the Bachelor rankings 

emlyon’s Global BBA confirms its dynamism and attractiveness by achieving remarkable progress in the Challenges 2026 ranking of top bachelors, gaining four places compared to 2025 to reach 2nd position in the 4-year Bachelor category. This position in the top three reflects recognition of the program’s quality and its key pillars, such as international exposure. Offered in French or English tracks, the Global BBA incorporates a global dimension throughout the curriculum via numerous international opportunities: double degrees, internships, academic partnerships, and more. 

Methodology 

Challenges reviews 20 three-year bachelors and 7 four-year bachelors based on six criteria: accreditations, duration of degree, program attractiveness, proportion of students with high honors (“Bien” and “Très Bien”) admitted via Parcoursup in 2024, student support, and group budget.
