Careers Forum 2026: four days to shape your professional future

  • News

A key event of the year, emlyon business school’s Careers Forum returned in January 2026 with a strong goal: to help students build their professional future while highlighting the school’s international reach and commitment to sustainability.

A hybrid format to boost employability

Organized by the Career Center, the event took place over four days, combining three in-person days in Lyon on January 12, 13, and 14, and one online day on January 15. More than 130 companies, representing over 500 HR and business professionals, along with many alumni, participated to meet emlyon talents.

emlyon has many programs – a general program and specialized programs – which gives a very diverse pool of candidates,” said a recruiter from the Accor Group.

The first two days were general and multi-sector (agri-food, construction, healthcare, banking, insurance, energy, etc.). Wednesday, January 14, focused on the audit and consulting sectors, while the online day on January 15, held via Seekube, allowed conversations to continue remotely.

Designed to create many networking opportunities, the forum welcomed students from all programs, whether they are looking for an internship, work-study, permanent contract, Graduate Program, or V.I.E. Several companies from different sectors – including Deloitte, KPMG, BNP Paribas, La Banque Postale, Amazon, CANAL+, Danone, L’Oréal, Accor, Lidl, Lindt, Intermarché, Vicat, SFR, and Dassault Systems – came to present their opportunities and talk directly with candidates. Startups supported by emlyon Venture Labs also participated.

I came to the forum with two goals: first, to find internship opportunities, and second, to network,” explained a student from the Master in Finance.

A truly international edition

The Careers Forum 2026 strengthened its international focus with the creation of an International Corner. This dedicated space had a dual mission: to help French students find opportunities abroad, including administrative support and visas, and to assist international students seeking internships in France.

International recruiters, identifiable by special badges, as well as English-speaking contacts, supported both international students and those wishing to gain experience abroad. Companies offered many international job opportunities, in Europe and worldwide, for both international students and non-French-speaking candidates.

An increasingly responsible event

Aligned with the School’s commitments, the Careers Forum took a responsible approach: booths were made with modular and reusable structures, single-use materials were limited, and giveaways focused on useful, durable, and eco-designed items. Paper use has been reduced in favor of digital materials.

Catering was based on local, seasonal products, mostly vegetarian, with reusable utensils and enhanced waste sorting.

Conferences to dive into recruitment processes

This year’s program included three conferences per day led by top companies – Google, Amazon, CANAL+, EY, Bank of China, and Prosol. These sessions helped students better understand job, sector, and international issues, as well as recruitment processes. Some conferences were held in English, reflecting the event’s international dimension.

With the 2026 edition, the Careers Forum confirms its essential role in supporting talent and building professional paths that are responsible and open to the world.

We would like to warmly thank all the recruiters and students who participated, and we look forward to seeing you next year for another edition of the Careers Forum in Lyon.
