High-Level Research Activities

The Institute coordinates cutting-edge research that intersects Earth system sciences, humanities and social sciences, design, and management.

In 2025, the workshop "Designing Alternative Futures: Strategies and Systems Changes in the Anthropocene" brought together over 50 researchers, leaders, and professionals to explore new prospective and strategic practices in response to the challenges of the Anthropocene.

An action-research framework has also been established to objectively assess the impact of Anthropocene realities on various audiences. This includes collaborative work with the London School of Economics on eco-anxiety among students, for example.
