emlyon is gaining a foothold in France's leading site for the production of active ingredients and Europe's leading region for the production of human and veterinary vaccines.

In a further move to develop its healthcare activities, emlyon has become an associate member of the Lyonbiopôle competitiveness cluster, a catalyst in the healthcare innovation ecosystem in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, which comprises top-level institutional, industrial, hospital and academic professionals.

Becoming an associate member of Lyonbiopôle builds on the momentum initiated by emlyon with its "Résonances" 2024-2028 strategic plan and boosted by the recent launch of the HITS (Healthcare Innovation, Technology & Society) Institute, which coordinates healthcare training programs, research activities and entrepreneurship in this sector.

The association with Lyonbiopôle coincides with emlyon business school's move to its new campus in the center of Lyon, in the district of Gerland, close to drug, diagnostic and vaccine companies, life sciences research entities, biotechnology companies and international organizations. Welcoming emlyon as an associate member of Lyonbiopôle enables this catalyst for the health innovation ecosystem in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes to count on an additional institution of higher education – one that is among the most recognized in its field, and whose expertise will benefit the activities federated by the competitiveness cluster.

For Isabelle Huault, Executive President and Dean, emlyon business school

For Florence Agostino-Etchetto, Executive Director of Lyonbiopôle AuvergneRhône-Alpes:

“We are delighted that emlyon business school is joining our health innovation community as an associate member. This partnership will enable future innovators trained by the School to interact with our ecosystem, in order to better understand their needs and provide an effective response. The arrival in Gerland of a higher education establishment of this caliber, coupled with the creation of the HITS Institute, both testify to the appeal of our region in the field of life sciences.”
