The International MBA of emlyon business school also stands out on differentiating criteria, in keeping with the school's mission, such as the environmental, social and governance criteria (#12 worldwide). The program has been entirely revisited in order to reinforce the training of International MBA participants to ecological transition, social sustainabilityand ethics. The data used for the Financial Times' ranking are collected via two online surveys: the first one is filled in by the participating schools, and the second one, by alumni who graduated from that program three years prior to the survey.

Meant for professionals with a 5-year experience, the International MBA of emlyon business school provides a set of learning experiences allowing to develop pertinent skills for their career progress. Taught in English, it is an 11 to 16-month full-time program, with a 90% rate of international students, with over 30 nationalities represented. It is a state-controlled Master's degree allowing graduates to integrate jobs all over the world.
