The Career Center at emlyon provides a diverse range of services to support students in their professional development. Our initiatives are designed to address each student's individual needs and maximize their success in the job market.
Integrated collective workshops
The group workshops, led by career coaches and employability consultants, are interactive sessions that form an integral part of the academic experience. They prepare students for success in the workforce by focusing on key areas such as self-assessment, career project development, CV writing, interview preparation, and professional networking. The guidance from coaches and practical simulations help build students' confidence and equip them for their future careers.
Individual coaching
The Career Center provides personalized support through its career advisors, who assist students in refining their career plans, enhancing their CVs, preparing for interviews, and negotiating salaries. Practical guidance and constructive feedback are tailored to help students achieve their professional objectives.
Finance and Strategy Consulting tracks
Our specialized tracks in finance and strategy consulting offer students rigorous training for the demanding recruitment processes in these fields. These tracks include skills assessments, quantitative and logical tests to evaluate analytical abilities. The Strategy Consulting Track connects participants with leading consulting firms and helps them stand out for their first roles.
Thematic conferences and webinars
Every year, the Career Center organizes approximately twenty conferences and webinars featuring experts from sectors such as finance, technology, international affairs, and entrepreneurship. These events, available both in-person and online, provide students with valuable insights, expand their professional networks, and explore diverse career paths.
Digital tools and AI
Our AI-driven tools include self-assessment software, CV writing programs, and interview simulators to help students prepare for key recruitment stages. We also offer job boards and digital platforms where students can access exclusive job listings, internships, and market insights. These resources are designed to help students discover roles and industries that align with their career goals.
Recruitment events
In collaboration with the Employer Relations department, we host recruitment events that generate opportunities for internships and employment. Around twenty career events are held annually on our campuses and online. These events reflect our commitment to connecting students with companies seeking talent. Together, these initiatives by the Career Center at emlyon business school are aimed at equipping students with the skills and resources needed for a successful transition into the professional world, while meeting current job market needs.
Dedicated career teams

Employability consultants
In constant communication with students to better understand their career aspirations and continuously tracking job market trends, employability consultants play a pivotal role in preparing students for their professional journey post-graduation. Their key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing career support programs that align with academic curricula
- Leading courses and conferences focused on enhancing employability
- Developing a national and international network of experts relevant to specific programs
- Identifying and providing students with top tools for improving employability (AI platforms, job boards)
- Offering personalized guidance through individual coaching sessions
- Promoting recruitment events in collaboration with the Employer Relations department
- Working with the Professional Experience and CFA departments to support students in their job search
Employability coordinators
The employability coordinators play a critical supporting role for the consultants. Their duties include planning and managing courses, handling operational aspects within budgetary constraints, welcoming students and speakers, and overseeing the quality of external services to ensure high levels of student satisfaction.
