Bio

I am an Associate Professor of Business Analytics at emlyon business school, and my expertise lies in helping companies leverage data science, machine learning, AI, and business analytics for competitive advantage and to understand how consumers, firms, industries, and societies are being reshaped by the big-data and business analytics revolution.

I have a strong publication record, with multiple articles either published or forthcoming in prestigious academic journals, including those listed in the FT-50, UTD-24, ABS 4*, and AIS Senior Scholars' lists of premier journals. I have held various editorial positions, including Senior Editor, Associate Editor, Guest Editor of Special issue, Guest Associate Editor, and ERB member for prestigious journals such as the Decision Sciences, INFORMS Journal on Computing, Journal of Management Information Systems, Journal of the Association for Information Systems, Decision Support Systems, Information Systems Frontiers, Journal of Business Research, Communications of the Association for Information Systems, IEEE Transaction on Engineering Management, and Applied Operations and Analytics.

My research explores the impact of emerging information technologies—such as AI, advanced analytics, augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), big data, blockchain, metaverse and the Internet of Things (IoT)—on innovation, business strategy, and productivity. My research work follows three main streams. In the first, I investigate how AI & advanced analytics influence firm innovation, business strategies, and industry productivity. My second research area focuses on the impact of social media data on individual work performance. Additionally, I explore the emergence of new biases associated with the use of digital technologies. My third research area focuses on addressing the pervasive issue of misinformation and disinformation globally, and my research focuses on developing robust methodologies for misinformation & fake news detection across digital platforms.
