Bio
My primary research and teaching interests are in organizational theory, computational text analysis, and the sociology of work. My research takes place predominantly at the meso-level, drawing connections between macro-level processes such as the introduction of new technology and measurements or social movement activism and micro-level processes such as workplace discrimination and meaning-making. I often bring together a wide body of qualitative and quantitative research in Organizational Theory, Organizational Behavior, and Sociology. Substantively, much of my work focuses on understanding how macro-level organizational practices impact frontline service sector employee's experiences of work and inequality, with a special focus on discrimination.
