Bio

I am an Assistant Professor in Corporate Finance at emlyon business school. Previously, I was affiliated with Erasmus University Rotterdam and the University of Groningen—both in the Netherlands. I received a Ph.D. in Business Economics and Management from the University of Ferrara in Italy, with a Marie Curie Fellowship. In 2010-2011, I was a visiting research fellow at the Manchester Business School, UK.
My scholarly papers have appeared in the Journal of Corporate Finance (2021), European Management Review (2021), and Corporate Governance: An International Review (2018). My papers have received the “Transnational Research Best Paper Award” and “Best Paper Award” at the Academy of Management Annual Meetings. At the Academy of International Business Annual Meetings, my papers have received the “2019 WAIB Best Paper Award” and a nominated to the “2020 Temple/AIB Best Paper Award,” and twice nominated to the “Alan M. Rugman Most Promising Scholar Award” (2019 and 2021). My papers also received the “Best Full Paper Award” at the 2021 British Academy of Management Conference in the Cloud (BAM2021) in the Organisational Studies Track.
I teach graduate and postgraduate level corporate finance courses.
