Bio
I am an Associate Professor in Human Resource Management and Organizational Behaviour with a keen interest in social exchanges in organizations. My core research is on social exchanges in the employment relationship (with a focus on gift-exchanges), privatisations, employee share ownership, and the way subjectivity is constructed in organizations. I am also active in researching socio-technical systems (including AI) in higher education. I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, and a member of the British Academy of Management. Prior to joining academia, I worked in various industries, such as apparel, telecommunications, and finance in the UK and Germany, and I also engage in consultancy/advisory work.
