During the first week of the program you will be thrown into the deep end and asked to run a company in small teams. You will have the chance to test real business decisions and see how it affects the overall success of a company.

 Learning Trip

Explore alternate business models with the Learning Trips
emlyon business school offers the opportunity for students to discover management styles of other countries and explore contextual factors.
Each destination has specificities and you will never have the same approach or agenda, depending on the country visited.
Previous Learning Trips have been to Brussels, Istanbul, Milano and Finland (Oulu and Helsinki). Company visits and classes at partner universities provide you with an opportunity to explore alternate business models and broaden your view of global business in different cultures.

Entrepreneurial Consulting Project or Venture project

Entrepreneurial Consultancy Project

This project will allow you to choose a topic or company in line with your professional goals, help a company solve a business problem that they are experiencing, and discover the profession of consulting.

The companies and projects selected are carefully decided upon each year to match the needs and interests of the class.

Entrepreneurial Venture Project

If you have developed a business idea during the core courses, then you can choose to focus your energy on building your project into a new venture. The Entrepreneurship Experience electives are designed to support you in this journey with topics such as Branding & Communications, Financial Projections & Business Modeling, and Venture Investment & Planning. You will receive in-depth coaching to give your project the greatest chance of success.

The new venture projects are supported by the emlyon business school Incubator and their dedicated staff.

Short international exchanges

There are a number of international exchange programs offered to the MBA students, allowing you to take management courses that will complement your studies at emlyon business school therefore increasing your value in the job marketplace.

Short exchanges take place during the elective specializations and longer exchanges are an option to extend your program.

 Internships

For students wishing to work in a new geographical market, to change sectors or functions, we,recommend that you undertake an internship to getbthe practical skills you need to stand out to recruitersband create important industry relationships. With the support of the Career Services team, you will put into practice the expertise you have developed to find an internship that will give you that boost you need for your career progression.

Internships can be arranged for 2 to 6 months, depending on individual and company needs.

Assessment methods may include case studies, presentations, mock exercises, tests, etc…

The program is helping me to refresh many important notions like strategy, marketing, economics but in a very practical way through many study cases. This aids us in understanding how to better apprehend thing in a fast moving business-world. Concerning the specializations, I chose Finance and Entrepreneurship. The courses really give me strong tools and make me feel more confident professionally.
